We picked up a new dog yesterday afternoon, and I've been away from my computer all day. I'll be offline a lot this week while I acclimate Mitzy with my three-year-old, 15 pounds, female miniature schnauzer.
There's quite a long story that goes along with our "acquisition", but I won't bore you with all the details here. She's an adorable 2 1/2 year old, seven pounds, female Dorkie (Dachshund/Yorkie designer hybrid).
Mitzi was a breeding dog who's always lived in a kennel (and never got kisses), so it will take time and patience for her to get used to being around Scott and I, with free rein of our four-bedroom home and lots of love, hugs, and kisses. I plan to post more including photos at my other blog when I can.
I hope to be back as soon as I can with reviews and giveaways that are already past due. I just need to feel comfortable leaving the two of them alone together -- well, with me not sandwiched between them. I had the same experience with my last two dogs, so I'm confident it will happen in time.
